Dr. Kara Lynne Maldonado is a dedicated advocate for women and children affected by domestic violence and human trafficking. Through her partnerships with VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), HUD, Emergency Housing Consortium, and various other government agencies globally, she has been instrumental in creating re-entry programs with county Social Service and Children Protective Service and providing emergency and permanent housing for those in need. Her work spans over 30 years, earning her A 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States.
